Stanford Chinese Sing – Logo

Officially our A Cappella group is named “Sing++,” an amusing correspondence to the programming language C++, which reflects how Stanford is inevitably associated with coding. When Sing++ was first founded, its logo was designed by someone not in the group. While it has many good ideas, the old logo was not very elegant or unified.

Before the concert, president Qimeng asked me to redesign the logo, but producer Jieyang Jia demanded the new logo cannot be too different from the old because we want some consistency. This is what I came up with in the end.

But it probably doesn’t matter any more because we Sing++ are currently thinking about redesign everything and come up with a complete set of VI (visual identity).
