Messy

Medium: Compressed charcoal

The final project of the introductory drawing class is a set of three pieces of drawings reflecting the same topic and related to each other in some way. What I ended up drawing were three corners of my dorm room. They were deliberately set up to be extremely messy, which provided a lot visual impact to the overall tone.

These three pieces of work took me probably three entire days to finish. It is quite painful to fill a large piece of paper with pencil or charcoal. For the record, my bed and desk were not usually this messy, and the third drawing was my roommate’s bookshelf, not mine.
