I am Yan Sun, currently a software engineer based in Bay Area. I started working at Facebook since June, 2017.
I love science and enjoy learning about the world. I graduated from Carleton College in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Math and Physics, before I received a Master's degree in Physics at Stanford University. I love to have thoughtful conversations with others on laws of nature, scientific ideas, and developments in technology.
I am equally passionate about arts and design. I have been practicing drawing since a child, and am constantly exploring new techniques and styles. This experience gives me insights into graphic design and media production, and prompts me to become an UI engineer. I set up this website mostly to have a place to showcase my works.
I have a variety of hobbies. I joined Stanford Chinese Theater Club and Stanford Chinese A Cappella. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. I am a fanatic of A Song of Ice and Fire and The Three-Body Problem. I love playing Minecraft, Civilization, and city-building games.
