PEER 2011 Summer Program – Sangzhi Yearbook

PEER offers long-term, winter, and summer programs, and while long-term program was what they really wanted to emphasize, by the time of 2011 the summer program was the largest program in scale and impact. This is largely due to the fact that many talented and dedicated volunteers are only available during summer.

In 2011 summer program, PEER collaborated with five middle schools, and the one I went to was in Sangzhi, Hunan. It was a beautiful place with amazing people and awesome food. I was impressed by all the students we met, who were smart, curious and energetic. I was even more impressed by my fellow volunteers. They were genuinely passionate, adorable and brilliant. This memorable experience was such a treasure of my life.

After the summer program, I compiled the photos and made this yearbook. It is only for Sangzhi and does not include other four camps, while I am sure those volunteers too had a wonderful time. Unfortunately the embedded pdf file cannot be larger than ~10 MB so I only put a low resolution version on this page while you can access a better version here.
